Scattered showers, thunderstorms expected in Fort Worth. Here’s when rain arrives Thursday

Scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected in parts of North Texas on Thursday, March 27.

Rain and cloud coverage will increase throughout Thursday, beginning in the morning along and south of the U.S. Route 84 corridor, according to the National Weather Service Fort Worth.

Over Thursday afternoon, rain and clouds will spread north over Dallas-Fort Worth and could reach the Red River area by evening. Temperatures will be in the mid to upper 70s Thursday, according to the NWS.

Thursday evening and Friday storms

Widespread showers and thunderstorms are likely to develop across North Texas late Thursday.

Storms are expected to continue into early Friday morning as the storm system moves across the state, according to the NWS. Most of the Metroplex will see around half an inch of rain, however, some areas could exceed an inch.

By Friday afternoon, storms will begin ending from west to east and clear up by Friday evening.
