Parts of North Texas saw snow flurries Wednesday morning, Feb. 19, but road conditions are clear, officials say.

Even though temperatures will remain below freezing throughout the day, little to no accumulation from the snow is expected, according to the National Weather Service in Fort Worth.

Texas Department of Transportation crews treated roads overnight, according to Fort Worth district spokesperson Val Lopez. The roads were mostly dry by morning, and traffic impact was minimal.

TxDOT closed all its managed TEXpress lanes on Tuesday afternoon due to the winter weather, but the lanes were open again by late Wednesday morning, the agency said in a traffic update.

According to Fort Worth police, no major accidents have been reported Wednesday due to weather conditions.

Those who will be on the road can check a map of driving conditions at the Texas Department of Transportation website drivetexas.org.

Portions of North Texas, including Dallas and Fort Worth, are under an extreme cold warning. A high temperature of 28 degrees is forecast for Wednesday with a low of 14 degrees overnight.
