Thunderstorms with small hail and gusty wind in Fort Worth’s forecast. Here’s when.

Fort Worth is beginning this week with warm and wet weather due to a cold front that could bring hail.

The front is moving through North Texas on Monday, Dec. 16, bringing scattered showers and thunderstorms throughout the day, according to the National Weather Service Fort Worth.

A few strong storms are possible with gusty winds and small hail as the main threats. The front will move south Monday, exiting the North Texas region by the evening.

Temperatures on Monday will be warm in the upper 60s to mid-70s. Overnight lows will be cooler, ranging from low 40s to upper 50s.

After the wet and warm Monday, a stronger front will arrive by late Tuesday in Fort Worth.

Additional chances for showers and storms are possible Wednesday, according to the weather service forecast. A few strong storms producing gusty winds and small hail are likely.

The front will also cool off temperatures Wednesday, with highs in the mid-50s.
