1 man killed, 1 injured in rollover crash on SW Loop 820: Benbrook police
A man was killed and another man was injured Monday afternoon in a rollover crash on Southwest Loop 820, Benbrook police said.
Officers responded to the 7400 block of SW Loop 820 about 3:30 p.m. Monday, March 31. One man was thrown out of the vehicle the rolled over and he was taken to a Fort Worth hospital for treatment, police said. The extent of his injuries wasn’t clear.
Another man had to be extricated from the vehicle and died at the accident scene, according to police. He will be identified by the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office.
Parts of nearby Interstate 20 were closed to traffic for several hours due to the crash. The investigation into the fatal accident is ongoing, police said.
The Tarrant County Sheriff’s Office also responded to the scene to assist.
