A pair of cat siblings in Texas celebrated their birthday by wishing for a new home.
Patience and Diligence celebrated their first birthday at the Gulf Coast Humane Society in Corpus Christi, the shelter posted on its Facebook page.

The pair was abandoned inside a cardboard box with nine siblings in June outside the shelter, the post said. Now, they are the only two left from the group waiting to be adopted.
“This year they wished for their next birthday to be spent in their forever homes,” the shelter said.
The two celebrated with birthday hats, a birthday cake stuffed toy and a birthday meal.

The humane society has options to foster or adopt animals on its website.
