Four armed men try to rob gun store — and the bullets start flying, Texas cops say

A group of armed robbers targeted a Richardson, Texas, gun store Thursday afternoon, police say, and it didn’t take long for the bullets to start flying.

The four men walked into Mike’s Gun Room around 3 p.m., two of them brandishing pistols, according to police in Richardson, a suburb of Dallas.

What happened next isn’t entirely clear, but unsurprisingly, the suspects weren’t the only ones with guns at the gun store.

The store owner pulled a weapon and opened fire on the men, hitting one of them while the other three “immediately fled,” escaping in a silver or gray sedan with a paper license plate, according to police.

The injured suspect, left behind as the others sped off, was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police are urging anyone with information about the incident, or the three men still at large, to call the Richardson Police Department at 972-744-4800.

The incident is being investigated as an aggravated robbery.
