Dazzling $40M home lists in spot where Suzanne Somers’ California house once stood
A custom home with downright stunning views of the crystal-clear Pacific Ocean has landed on the real estate market in Malibu, California for a whopping $40 million.
The main draw of the four-bedroom, 4.5-bathroom architectural marvel of a house are the “fully automated floor-to-ceiling pocketing glass doors” which can disappear and reappear, giving the home a magical touch as it showcases the beauty of the sandy beaches located to the rear of the property.
Other high-end features of the 5,085 square-foot residence include:
Private pool
Rooftop deck
Porcelain walls
Purified water
The estate stands in the spot where a “wind-whipped” fire ripped through four homes in 2007, including the beach house of “Three’s Company” star Suzanne Somers, Reuters reported.
According to the Los Angeles Times, Somers’ oceanside house was a tad smaller in size — the new home was built on “two lots combining for about a third of an acre.”
The beach house was one of Somers few homes, one of which was a Palm Beach compound she and husband Alan Hamel had owned since 1977, but which was sold earlier this year, People said.
Somers shot to fame in the 1970s thanks to her character Chrissy Snow on the comedy series “Three’s Company.” From there, she went on to star on multiple series including “Step by Step” and “Candid Camera,” IMDb reports.
The listing is held by Shen Schulz of Sotheby’s International Realty.
