Dream home for sale in California is called the ‘Wish Castle’ for a reason. See why

Nestled on a hill overlooking the desirable Pacific blue sits a dream property that has hit the real estate market in San Juan Capistrano, California. It’s called the “Wish Castle” and it’s listed for $9.2 million.

The home, with its Disney-castle-like aesthetic on the outside, is nearly 16,000 square feet of posh wonderment around each corner. With nine-bedrooms and 10.5-plus-bathrooms, the compound sits on a 4.4-acre lot and has “unparalleled views blending mountains, hillside, the Historic San Juan Capistrano Mission and city lights,” the listing on Canaday Group says.

Need high-end amenities? This castle has you covered:

  • Mother-in-law quarters

  • Wine cellar

  • Indoor elevator

  • Gym

  • Game room

  • Two ponds

  • Waterfall pool

  • Children’s pool

  • Guest quarters

  • Gourmet kitchen

  • Six-car garage

While the name certainly fits the description of the home, it appears to be named after its original owner, Robert L. Wish (and wife Erin Wish), The Orange County Register said.

According to the Los Angeles Times, Erin Wish wanted the home to stand out of the pack.

“We wanted a French chateau with a castle look,” she told the Los Angeles Times. “Everyone has the (Mediterranean-style) villa. This is unique. It’s not the same old thing.”
