Pedestrian fatally struck by car on I-35W in south Fort Worth, police say
A pedestrian was fatally struck by a vehicle on Interstate 35W late Monday in south Fort Worth, police said.
Officers were called to the southbound lanes of 3300 South Freeway about 11:45 p.m. The person who’d been hit died at the scene, according to police. They will be publicly identified by the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office.
The Traffic Investigation Unit is looking into the circumstances surrounding the fatal accident. The southbound lanes of I-35W at Berry Street were closed for several hours but have since reopened.
