A 71-year-old man was killed Wednesday after a car fell on top of him at his northeast Fort Worth home, officials said.

Firefighters responded to the 3500 block of Regal Road after getting a call about someone trapped under a vehicle. They used their tools to release the man, but he was already dead, according to fire department spokesperson Craig Trojacek.

The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the victim as Christopher Jones and ruled his death an accident. His cause of death is listed as traumatic asphyxia on the medical examiner’s website.
