46-year-old driver identified after fatal crash on Loop 820 in Fort Worth

A 46-year-old man was identified as the driver killed in a rollover crash on Loop 820 in west Fort Worth on Monday, according to Tarrant County records.

Edwin Christopher Ferguson died from blunt force injuries, according to the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s website.

All southbound lanes of Loop 820 near White Settlement Road were closed for several hours after the crash was reported about 12:25 p.m., according to police and the Texas Department of Transportation.

When officers arrived, they found that a vehicle hit a bridge pillar and rolled over, Fort Worth police said. Ferguson was pronounced dead at the scene.
