A 45-year-old woman died in a house fire Friday night, Feb. 6, in southeast Fort Worth, officials said.

The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the woman as Miranda Dawn Barrett.

Firefighters were dispatched to Barrett’s residence in the 3800 block of Wilbarger Street shortly after 8 p.m. Department spokesperson Craig Trojacek said crews arrived within three minutes, and heavy fire was already coming from the structure.

Fire crews pulled the resident out of the burning house, but the woman died at the scene, Trojacek said.

No other injuries were reported, according to Trojacek. The cause of the deadly blaze was under investigation.
