Two nail salon employees were injured Thursday morning, Feb. 5, in Benbrook when a SUV crashed into the business, officials said.

Two employees were injured and taken to a hospital Thursday morning after a car crashed into a nail salon in Benbrook, officials said.

The Benbrook police and fire departments responded shortly before 9 a.m. to the accident at the Benbrook Nail Bar at 303 Mercedes St.

A woman driving a Cadillac SUV drove through the front of the store and hit two employees, police said in a statement.

One of the injured employees inside the salon had to be extricated and was taken to the hospital by the fire department, Benbrook Fire Chief Jason Tate told the Star-Telegram.

Another person was taken to the hospital by Fort Worth EMS, he said.

“Fortunately, the nail salon had not opened yet and there were just a few workers there,” Tate said.

The two employees sustained minor injuries, police said.

The store had structural damage, but a building official came out and declared that it was safe for employees to go in and get their belongings, Tate said.

Tate said the woman driving the car was not injured. .

Police said the incident was determined to be an accident and no criminal charges are expected to be filed.
