A residential fire in Fort Worth on Sunday was deliberately set, according to investigators.

A police report shows that about 9:30 p.m. on Dec. 7, the Fort Worth Fire Department responded to a call in the 300 block of North Hampton Street, north of East Belknap Street between Interstate 35 and the Trinity River.

Upon arrival, crews extinguished a fire coming out of the home’s front door. Fire investigators found combustible material soaked in flammable liquid as well as other traces of flammable liquid in the home.

Based on that, the investigators determined the fire was arson, according to the police report.

A fire department spokesperson said the investigation is ongoing and no arrests have been made.
