An east coast company, The Scoop and Scootery, is opening its doors to the South.

It’s first southern location, thus its first Texas location, will be in Fort Worth at 3529 Heritage Trace Parkway, across the street from the H-E-B.

The Scoop and Scootery is an innovative sundae company that serves large scoops of ice cream, filled with sauce “tunnels,” topped with candies, cereals or salty snacks and piles of their homemade whipped cream.

In its early days, The Scoop and Scootery would deliver via scooters. Now because of its growth, they do not use scooters, but deliver via drivers. If you are craving an indulgent sweet treat as a late night snack, The Scoop and Scootery will deliver until midnight.

Here’s the scoop.

When will The Scoop and Scootery open in Fort Worth?

The Scoop and Scootery will be open early next year in late January, Austin Crittenden, The Scoop and Scootery owner, told the Star Telegram.

There are other ice cream shops in Alliance town center like Cold Stone, Menchie’s Frozen Yogurt and Marble Slab Creamery, but nothing that offers the decadence of The Scoop.

And as for late night treats, north Fort Worth lacks the Texas favorite Insomnia Cookies, which is known for its cookie delivery until 3 a.m. on the weekends. The Scoop will fill the void for the late night munchies.

Where will The Scoop and Scootery deliver to?

The Scoop and Scootery prioritizes keeping customers’ sundaes intact while delivering. Because of this, delivery distance varies on factors like weather, distance and traffic.

According to Crittenden, the Fort Worth location can deliver up to 20 miles away. This limit is to ensure the sundae makes it to the customer’s mouth still frozen. However, on hotter days with more traffic, this could vary.

To double check that your location is within their range, you can visit their website (once they are open in January) and check the delivery radius. The Scoop and Scootery can also be ordered through Door Dash, Uber Eats and Grub Hub.

If The Scoop cannot deliver to your house, you can order online for pickup. The shop will also have dine-in seating as well as a patio.
