Interstate 30 in Fort Worth is now open after a major crash that critically injured one person shut down part of the freeway early Friday, officials said.

Officers responded to I-30 at Ridgmar Boulevard shortly after 3 a.m. A driver standing outside their disabled vehicle was hit by another car, according to police. The injured person was taken to a hospital in critical condition.

It’s not clear if the driver of the other car will face charges. The Traffic Investigation Unit has been notified to determine the cause of the accident, police said.

The westbound lanes of I-30 at Ridgmar were open by 6:20 a.m., the Texas Department of Transportation said on X.
