One person was killed in a hit-and-run crash Sunday morning in Fort Worth, police said.

Officers responded around 4 a.m. to a major accident on Texas 121 and Beach Street.

Investigators believe that an SUV was struck by an unknown vehicle, causing a sedan to then collide with the SUV, police said.

The driver of the sedan was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

The vehicle that is believed to have initially caused the accident was not at scene when officers arrive and has not been found, police said.

The Traffic Investigation Unit is investigating the crash.

The person who died will be identified by the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office.
