Lowe’s Home Improvement’s new store in far north Fort Worth is about to open
A new Lowe’s Home Improvement store will open in north Fort Worth later this month.
The new store carries a Haslet address but is still in the Fort Worth city limits, at 12980 U.S. Route 287. While an exact date was not provided, a Lowe’s spokesperson told the Star-Telegram that the store will open in late May.
Located just off U.S. Route 287 and Avondale-Haslet Road, the new Lowe’s is near the Crosswords Corners shopping area that is anchored by a Walmart Supercenter.
The new Lowe’s will be the 12th store located in Tarrant County.

Word first broke on the new north Fort Worth Lowe’s in January 2023, when the North Carolina-based company sought a permit for a drainage study on the area.
A year and a half later in July 2024, a filing for the new Lowe’s popped up on the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation website. Nearly 10 months later, the store will now open in late May.
Based in Mooresville, N.C., the home improvement company has around 300,000 employees in over 1,700 stores. As of early 2025, Texas is home to the most Lowe’s store in the country with 144 of its 1,748 locations.
