Woman dies after fall down shaft; Fort Worth police investigating
Fort Worth police were investigating after a woman fell down a shaft at a vacant warehouse early on Thursday, April 17, and died, officials said.
Officers responded to 447 N. Main St. shortly after 3 a.m. on April 17. The Fire Department also responded to the call and said that the woman fell at least 50 feet down a shaft near a former hydroelectric plant.
The woman died at the scene, according to MedStar. The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office identified her as 27-year-old Estefania Sosa and ruled her death an accident caused by blunt force injuries.
Detectives from the Homicide Unit were investigating the details surrounding the incident, police said.
