Man killed after crashing into commercial sweeper on I-20 in Fort Worth: police

A 39-year-old man was killed in a major accident on Interstate 20 in south Fort Worth on Wednesday night, April 16, police said.

Officers were dispatched to the westbound lanes of I-20 at Wichita Street about 8:40 p.m. Police believe a vehicle collided with a stationary commercial sweeper at that location. The car’s driver died at the scene, officials said.

The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the man who died as Christopher Dwayne Hornsby.

The Fort Worth police Traffic Investigations Unit was notified to investigate.
