A new movie is premiering in Fort Worth — and you could be on the red carpet
A movie about a retired bull rider will hold its world premiere in Fort Worth in May.
“The Last Rodeo” stars Neal McDonough as Joe Wainwright, a retired rodeo star who enters a bull riding competition to raise money for his sick grandson. The Angel Studios’ film premieres in theaters on May 23.
Ahead of the film’s wide release, Angel Studios will hold a world premiere at Fort Worth’s AMC Dine-In Clearfork 8 on May 12.

How to attend ‘The Last Rodeo’ premiere in Fort Worth
“The Last Rodeo” premiere package will set fans back $250 (if you want an extra photo with McDonough, the price goes up to $350).
Tickets are available on Angel Studios’ website here. In addition to the previously mentioned amenities, the ticket also includes a live question-and-answer session with the cast and filmmakers, along with access to a post-premiere party.
The dress code for the evening is “boots or bows,” where “Western glam meets red carpet elegance,” according to the studio. Festivities began at 4:30 p.m. and end around 10:30 p.m.

In addition to McDonough, the film also stars Christopher McDonald (“Happy Gilmore”), Mykelti Williamson (“Forrest Gump”), Sarah Jones (“For All Mankind”) and Graham Harvey (“The Night Agent”).
“The Last Rodeo” is directed by Jon Avnet, who also helmed “Fried Green Tomatoes,” “Up Close & Personal” and “Righteous Kill.” “The Last Rodeo” is written by Avnet, McDonough and Derek Presley.
While having its premiere in Texas, the movie was actually filmed in the Oklahoma cities of Owasso and Collinsville last spring, according to Tulsa World.
“The Last Rodeo” premieres in theaters on May 23.
