Man dies after his bicycle crashes in Fort Worth, police say

A man died in Fort Worth after he fell and crashed his bicycle on Tuesday night, Dec. 10, police said.

Officers responded to the accident in the 2900 block of Hanger Avenue around 7 p.m. They found a man who had been riding a bicycle westbound on the street when he crashed, police said.

The man was pronounced dead on the scene, police said.

Police said two witnesses told officers that they stopped in the roadway in separate vehicles when the man approached them and they saw him lose control of the bicycle and strike the pavement.

There was no contact between the two vehicles and the bicyclist, police said.

The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office will identify the man and officially determine the cause of death.
