Pedestrian killed in hit-and-run crash in Fort Worth, police say

A pedestrian was struck and killed in a hit-and-run crash on Friday, Dec. 6, in northwest Fort Worth, police said.

Officers responded around 11:50 p.m. to the intersection of Azle Avenue and Ephriham Avenue, where they found a victim who was hit by a driver who fled the crash scene.

The victim was pronounced dead on the scene, police said.

No arrests have been made, and a description of the vehicle was not available. Investigators are working with nearby businesses to gather surveillance videos to help find the suspect vehicle, police said.

The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office will identify the victim and officially determine the cause of death.
