Man shot to death after altercation with his brother on Saturday, Fort Worth police say

A man was killed after a physical altercation with his brother on Saturday night in Fort Worth, officials with the Fort Worth Police Department said.

Officers responded about 7 p.m. Dec. 7 to the scene in the 1400 block of Arbor Ridge Drive, in east Fort Worth. They found the shooting victim dead inside of his residence, police said.

The man’s brother, who is believed to be responsible for the shooting, was also on the scene and was detained pending further investigation, police said in a news release.

The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the man who died as 40-year-old Aurdie Evans.

The siblings had been involved in a fight prior to the shooting, according to police.

No arrests have been made. Homicide detectives are continuing to investigate the case.
