A person using a wheelchair was seriously injured Monday night, Dec. 9, in a hit-and-run crash, according to Haltom City police.

The incident occurred about 6 p.m. in the 4000 block of East Belknap Street, and the victim was taken to a hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries, according to police.

The driver fled the scene. Police said they have identified a suspect vehicle and are working to identify the driver.
