Funeral, procession planned for Fort Worth police Officer Robert Mical Fenner
The Fort Worth Police Department has shared arrangements for funeral services and a procession after an officer died from cancer.
Officer Robert Mical Fenner died on Nov. 15. Fenner had been battling stage-4 colorectal cancer leading up to his death, according to a fundraising page set up for his family.
Community members can pay their last respects to Fenner on Sunday, Nov. 24, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Blessings Funeral Home located at 401 Elm St. in Mansfield.
The funeral service starts Monday, Nov. 25, at 11 a.m. in the Crossroads Christian Church located at 6450 S. Texas 360 in Grand Prairie. Immediately following the funeral services, the internment will be conducted at the Memorial Gardens located at 30001 S. Beltline Road, Grand Prairie.
The Fort Worth Police Department will conduct an escorted procession from its headquarters at 505 W. Felix St. to Crossroads Christian Church. The Police Department requests agencies wishing to participate in the procession to assemble on the department’s driving track no later than 9 a.m. on Nov. 25.
“As we honor the life and service of Officer Robert Mical Fenner, we remember his bravery, dedication, and significant contributions to the community he served,” police said in a news release. “We thank all agencies and communities for their condolences and support during this difficult time. Rest easy, Officer Fenner. Your brothers and sisters have the watch from here.”
