Driver dies after crash between minivan and truck in North Richland Hills

A driver was killed in a fatal crash involving two vehicles, North Richland Hills police announced in a news release Friday.

A pickup truck and a minivan crashed around 6 p.m. Friday in the westbound lanes of North Tarrant Parkway at Brandonwood Drive, according to police.

First-responders administered life-saving measures immediately after arriving at the scene, the release states.

While being taken to a local hospital, one of the drivers regained a pulse but succumbed to his injuries at the hospital, according to the release.

Police did not specify the condition of the other driver and which vehicle was being driven by the man who died.

The cause of the collision is under investigation. Authorities do not expect criminal charges.

The Tarrant County Medical Examiner will release the name of the victim upon notification of next of kin.
