6 kids, 2 adults injured in accident involving school bus in southwest Fort Worth: officials

Six children and two adults were injured in a crash involving a school bus and a car in southwest Fort Worth early Wednesday, officials said.

Officers responded to a call about a major accident at 5900 W. Risinger Road shortly after 8:15 a.m., according to police records. Information on how the accident occurred wasn’t immediately available.

According to police there were several children inside the bus at the time of the accident.

A MedStar spokesperson said all the injuries were minor. One child was transported to a local hospital, and the other children and adults were evaluated and released at the scene.

Police said the bus was owned by Durham, but it wasn’t clear which district or school it was transporting students for.
