The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office has identified the two drivers who died early Monday morning after a head-on collision on Interstate 20 as Erik Esquivel, 27, and Geri Lynn Russell, 62.

Their deaths were both ruled accidents. Esquivel’s cause of death was blunt force injuries and Russell’s cause of death was multiple blunt force injuries, according to the medical examiner.

The fatal crash was reported just before 3 a.m. Monday on I-20 east at Hulen Street, near Hulen Mall.
