Two people struck, killed by vehicle in Interstate 30 accident in Fort Worth, police say
Two people died early Monday when they were struck by at least one vehicle in lanes of Interstate 30 in east Fort Worth, police said.
The people, whose names and ages the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office has not released, were hit about 12:30 a.m. on eastbound I-30 near Cooks Lane, Fort Worth police said.
The people who were struck were pronounced dead on the interstate.
Police said there were three vehicles involved in the accident: a Chevrolet pickup truck, a Cadillac and a motorcycle. It is unclear whether the deceased were operating one of those vehicles prior to being struck.
Traffic investigation detectives ask anyone who witnessed the crash to please call them at 817–392-4886.
Police did not describe other circumstances of the collision and said further details will be available when a preliminary report is completed.
Eastbound interstate lanes were closed to traffic for several hours during an investigation and reopened by 6:15 a.m., police said.
