Speeding driver died in crash when he veered from Arlington road at curve, police say

A 28-year-old man driving a pickup truck died on Sunday when he crashed in Arlington after he sped at a curve, veered from a road, struck a fire hydrant and rolled the vehicle, police said.

A 28-year-old man driving a pickup truck died on Sunday when he crashed in Arlington after he sped at a curve, veered from a road, struck a fire hydrant and rolled the vehicle, police said.

The 2021 Toyota Tacoma crashed about 1:15 a.m. in the 7600 block of Calender Road, according to Arlington police. The pickup landed in a ditch.

The driver, whose name the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office has not released, was pronounced dead at the scene.

He was not using a seatbelt at the time of the crash, police said.

The driver was alone inside the pickup.
