A Fort Worth police officer-in-training and two firefighters were injured by a lightning strike Friday morning, officials said.

Fort Worth police said the cadet was possibly struck on the ankle. He was transported to a local hospital in good condition.

Two firefighters were also reportedly injured in the lightning strike, Star-Telegram media partner WFAA-TV reported. They received minor injuries and will remain on duty.

Officials haven’t released the names of the injured first responders.

The incident occurred at the Bob Bolen Public Safety Complex, at 505 W. Felix St., as a thunderstorm rolled through Fort Worth, according to a social media post by DFW Scanner.
