A man shot a woman in east Fort Worth late Friday night during a domestic disturbance, according to police.

The woman was taken to a hospital with a gunshot wound to her leg that wasn’t life-threatening.

The man was arrested, police said. The department didn’t say what he was charged with on Saturday morning, and a police spokesman didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment.

Officers were dispatched to a shooting in the 5500 block of Pinson Street around 11:20 p.m., according to a police call log. The caller stated the man shot at the woman’s vehicle.

The officers determined the shooting began as a domestic incident, police said. It’s believed the man was armed with a firearm and shot at the woman, striking her in the lower calf, police said.

Family violence/gun violence detectives are investigating the incident, police said.
