One seriously injured after converted bus flips over on Interstate 35W in Fort Worth

One person was seriously injured Wednesday morning after a converted bus flipped over on its side in a crash on Interstate 35W in north Fort Worth, authorities said.

The accident occurred just after 10:30 a.m. on northbound Interstate 35W just before Heritage Trace Parkway.

The driver of the vehicle lost control, crashed into a concrete barrier and then the bus flipped over on its side, Fort Worth police said.

One person was in serious condition, according to a MedStar spokesman.

Fort Worth patrol officers and firefighters were on the scene.

The bus was blocking all lanes of northbound traffic on I-35. Police said about 2 p.m. that all lanes had reopened.

Fort Worth police have not released any other details such as what factors caused the accident.
