Fort Worth woman critically injured in motorcycle wreck has died from her injuries

A Fort Worth woman critically injured last week in a motorcycle accident in Fort Worth died over the weekend from her injuries, according to officials with the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office.

The woman was Daril DeLeon, 35, who died Friday night at Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Fort Worth. She died from blunt-force trauma to her head and her death has been ruled an accident.

DeLeon was a passenger on a motorcycle that crashed on Aug. 25.

The wreck occurred about 3:30 a.m. in the 800 block of N.W. 28th Street in Fort Worth.

A man and DeLeon were on the motorcycle riding down the street when their vehicle collided with a car, throwing DeLeon and the driver off the motorcycle, according to Fort Worth police.

The motorcyclist and the driver of the car were treated and released at the scene.

Traffic detectives are investigating the crash.
