Motorcyclist dies after his vehicle hits minivan on Arlington highway, police say

A motorcyclist critically injured in a traffic accident earlier in the week on an Arlington highway has died at a local hospital, authorities said.

The man who died has been identified as Roger Hartgrave, 23, of Terrell, according to the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office website on Wednesday. Hartgrave died at 5:40 p.m. Tuesday.

Arlington police reported the accident occurred just before 3 p.m. Monday in the 2200 block of south Texas 360 in Arlington.

A Honda minivan was on the exit ramp from Texas 360 to Pioneer Parkway when the motorcyclist drove up behind it and collided with the minivan. The motorcycle was traveling at a high rate of speed at the time of the collision, Arlington police said.

On impact, the motorcyclist, who was later identified as Hartgrave, was thrown from his vehicle.
