Fort Worth woman dies after being found in wrecked vehicle on Interstate 30

A Fort Worth woman died Wednesday morning after being found in a wrecked vehicle in the middle of Interstate 30, police said Thursday.

The cause of the accident was unknown.

The victim has been identified as Elizabeth Martinez-Ramos, 36, of Fort Worth, according to the Tarrant County medical examiner on Thursday. A ruling on her death is pending an autopsy.

Martinez-Ramos was pronounced dead at 9:10 a.m. Wednesday at John Peter Smith Hospital.

Fort Worth police responded to the accident Wednesday morning in the 5300 block of Interstate 30 near the Bridgewood Exit.

Patrol officers found the vehicle in the middle of the westbound lanes of the highway.

Police found a Martinez-Ramos in the vehicle with critical injuries. She was taken to the hospital where she later died.

Police did not provide any other details on the accident.
