28-year-old woman killed in single-vehicle wreck on Fort Worth highway

A Burleson woman was killed Saturday morning in an traffic crash in southwest Fort Worth, according to police and the medical examiner’s office.

No other injuries were reported in the wreck.

The victim has been identified as Courtney Michelle Pilkington, 28, of Burleson, according to the Tarrant County medical examiner’s website on Monday. She died from blunt-force injuries, and her death has been ruled an accident.

She was pronounced dead at 7:14 a.m. Saturday at 7600 Chisholm Trail Parkway, at the Sycamore School Road junction.

Fort Worth police said it was a single-vehicle crash, but they did not release any other details.

The medical examiner’s site indicates the vehicle struck a fixed object.
