Man dies after vehicle falls off bridge, bursts into flames in Fort Worth crash

One person was killed Tuesday night and two other people were injured when two vehicles collided on Loop 820, causing one of the vehicles to fall off a bridge and catch fire, Fort Worth police said.

The cars had been traveling at a high rate of speed when they collided, Fort Worth police said.

The victim has been identified as Case Edward Jackson, 24, of The Colony, according to the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office website on Wednesday. A ruling on his death is pending an autopsy.

The crash was reported about 8 p.m. Tuesday in the 5000 block of E. Loop 820 in the northbound lanes.

Jackson was pulled out of his vehicle and taken to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

Two other people suffered minor injuries in the crash, according to a MedStar spokesman.
