Three killed in separate car crashes in Arlington, Grand Prairie over Easter weekend

Three separate car accidents killed three people over the weekend in Grand Prairie and Arlington.

On Saturday at 10:15 p.m, Grand Prairie police were investigating a fatal crash in the 3100 block of Hardrock Road. The car had multiple passengers, and the driver lost control at the intersection of Trinity Boulevard and Hardrock Road, police said in a press release. The car rolled several times.

Three people went to the hospital and a fourth occupant was killed in the crash.

On Saturday at 10:33 p.m., a man in his mid-30s died in a single-car crash in the 400 block of N. Watson Rd in Arlington, police said.

Investigators believe the car was northbound on Watson Road when the driver lost control on a curve. The car swerved off the road and hit a light pole, and the driver was ejected from the car.

On Sunday at 9:05 p.m., a car crash at SE 14th St and S Belt Line Rd killed 35-year-old Juan Trujillo-Monsivais of Fort Worth.

Trujillo-Monsivais was driving a 2005 Chevrolet pickup southbound on SE 14th St when he swerved off the road, Arlington police said in a press release. The pickup hit a tree and a signal light pole and crashed into another car that was driving northbound on Belt Line at SE 14th.

The other motorist, a 36-year-old Irving woman, had minor injuries and was not hospitalized.
