24-year-old woman killed in weekend wreck at Fort Worth intersection

A multi-vehicle crash late Friday at an intersection just north of downtown Fort Worth left a Haltom City woman dead, authorities said Monday.

The wreck occurred at NE 28th Street and Interstate 35W frontage road about 11:15 p.m. Friday.

The woman who died was Briseida Munoz, 24, of Haltom City, according to officials with the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office.

Munoz died from blunt-force injuries and her death has been ruled an accident, according to the ruling by the medical examiner’s office.

She was pronounced dead at 11:18 p.m. Friday.

Munoz was driving an Infiniti northbound on the service road when she went through the intersection, Fort Worth police said Monday.

Her vehicle was hit by a Dodge Challenger traveling eastbound on NE 28th St., police said. A Lexus also traveling eastbound on the street was hit by the Challenger.

Munoz died at the scene, authorities said.
