Gunman jumped out of a car, opened fire and seriously wounded man in east Fort Worth
A man was in serious condition Monday after being shot on Bridge Street by a gunman who jumped out of a car and fired at him in east Fort Worth, police said.
The gunman hit the victim three times, once in the leg, arm and chest, police said.
Patrol officers converged on the scene and searched the neighborhood for the gunman.
No one had been arrested Monday afternoon.
The victim was taken to a local hospital.
The shooting was reported shortly before 2 p.m. in the 5300 block of Bridge St.
A caller reported that someone may have been shot after hearing three to four gunshots in the area.
When they arrived, police found the victim.
Police had not released any information on the gunman or a motive for the shooting.
