Two wounded, one arrested in shooting in Hurst, Texas mall parking garage, police say
Two people were injured in a shooting in the parking garage of a Hurst shopping mall on Sunday, police said.
At about 1:45 p.m., Hurst officers responded to a call at the North East Mall for a reported shooting in the second level of one of the parking garages, according to a press release from Hurst police.
One person was shot multiple times and taken to a hospital. A bystander was possibly hit with shrapnel from a bullet and was treated at the scene.
Police arrested a suspect, who they believe was approaching people on foot to rob them at the garage. Police said the shooting appears to be an isolated event and there is no further threat to the public.
