Cyclist struck and killed by vehicle on Fort Worth highway, police say
A bicyclist was killed Sunday night on Interstate 20 after being hit by a vehicle, Fort Worth police said.
Officials with the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the victim as Obed Rojas, 26, of Fort Worth.
The accident was reported at about 10 p.m. Sunday on I-20, near Hulen Street.
A vehicle hit the cyclist in the westbound lanes of the highway, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver stopped after hitting Rojas, and no charges were expected to be filed, according to police.
The cyclist was riding in a dark area of the highway, police said.
