Two people injured, dog killed in south Fort Worth house fire
Two people were injured and a dog was killed early Thursday in a house fire in south Fort Worth, fire officials said.
No other injuries were reported in the blaze, which was occurred about 1 a.m. in the 4100 block of Alava Drive.
Heavy fire was reported coming from the back of the home when firefighters arrived, fire officials said.
Residents in the house managed to escape on their own by the time firefighters arrived, but they were taken to a local hospital for smoke inhalation.
A dog died in the fire, fire officials said.
Fire officials believe the fire was accidental.
