Man killed in crash with multiple vehicles on U.S. 287 in Fort Worth, authorities say
A man was killed in a crash with entrapment involving multiple vehicles on U.S. Highway 287 in Fort Worth on Tuesday morning, authorities said.
Hector Javier Arcinie Martinez, 21, of Fort Worth, was identified as the victim by the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office. He was pronounced dead at the scene, the agency reported.
Two people who suffered minor injuries in the accident were treated and released at the scene, according to a MedStar spokesman.
Fort Worth officers were dispatched around 6:25 a.m. to the crash on U.S. Highway 287, or the Martin Luther King. Jr. Freeway, near Riverside Drive south of I-30, according to a police call log. Multiple vehicles were involved in the crash, police said.
Police were unable to say what led to the crash.
Medics were notified and responded to the scene Tuesday morning, police said.
Northbound lanes of U.S. 287 were closed Tuesday morning at the crash site, and traffic was being diverted onto the Riverside Drive exit, police said.
All lanes were back open as of 10:45 a.m., the department said on Twitter.
