Person found dead inside burning RV in Fort Worth storage facility, authorities say

A person was found dead Tuesday morning in a burning RV parked inside a Fort Worth storage facility, authorities said.

The identity of the victim hasn’t been released.

Firefighters responded to a report of a vehicle fire in the 3200 block of West Bolt Street at 1:17 a.m., according to Capt. Thad Raven, a Fort Worth Fire Department spokesman. One person was killed in the incident, he said.

The RV was inside of an Alamo Self-Storage facility. An employee who heard an explosion reportedly called 911.

Raven was unable to say when the victim was pronounced dead, what the cause of death was, or if the person lived in the RV.

Police confirmed there was a fatality Tuesday morning after an RV fire in a storage facility. But the department couldn’t say more about the incident.

Raven said it’s unclear at this time what caused the fire, which remains under investigation.
