The victim, whose name and age authorities had not released Saturday night, was thrown from his vehicle and died at the scene on South Freeway near East Magnolia Avenue, police said.

The driver of the truck that rear-ended him walked from the crash scene but was later found by officers, including those in a helicopter, police said.

Samuel Delacruz, 39, of Fort Worth, was booked on suspicion of intoxication manslaughter. He was not injured, police said.

The trucks collided around 1:30 a.m.
