Train strikes vehicle hauler that had stalled on tracks in Keller, police say

A train struck a vehicle hauler that had stalled Friday night on railroad tracks in Keller, Fort Worth police said.

The hauler, which had been transporting two vehicles, was hit at about 8:45 p.m. near Keller Haslet Road and North Main Street, police said.

The truck’s driver was taken to a hospital with injuries that were not considered life-threatening, police said.

The vehicle hauler had stalled on the tracks, and as the driver checked on the truck and returned to the cab, the crossing arms lowered, and the train struck the hauler, police said.

It was unclear Friday night exactly where the driver was when the train struck the hauler.
