Two people died Wednesday night when the motorcycle they were riding crashed in south Fort Worth, police said.

Randy Lehew, 47, of River Oaks, veered across a median as he tried to get on Interstate 35, lost control and hit a sign pole, authorities said.

The crash occurred about 8:45 p.m. on an entrance ramp to the northbound lanes of Interstate 35 at West Risinger Road, police said.

Lehew and Jacqueline Wright, 51, of Fort Worth, who was riding on the motorcycle with him, died at the scene, authorities said.

The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office said Wright and Lehew died of blunt-force injuries.
